Lisa Knopf, Cheektowaga Center

Lisa has been with Doodle Bugs! for 17 years and has created millions of precious memories with her students, the parents and her fellow teachers. Lisa received this note from a center parent and company administrator: “Teaching, regardless of the age group, is a job that requires every inch of your soul. My son’s teacher, Miss Lisa, is probably one of the kindest people I’ve ever come across. She respects infants as if they are her best friends, acknowledges their every need, confirms every triumph, comforts every frustration. She truly has a 6th sense for little ones. We are lucky to have her.”

Miss Lisa can always be found talking, singing or laughing with the children in her room. Even while changing a diaper or feeding them, she’s making sure they are engaged in some way with her. She has even introduced her students to the harmonica and can often be found playing it for them. Her sunny disposition makes her room warm and welcoming, which is especially important for infants. She goes out of her way to share the details of her students’ days with the parents, so they never feel like they’ve missed anything while at work.

She embodies everything that Doodle Bugs! represents and the center would not be the same without her. Thank you, Lisa, for your years of dedication and loving attention. This recognition is well-deserved!
