Let Doodle Bugs! Help with Dinner Tonight!

At Doodle Bugs!, we know that healthy children are happy children. That’s why nutrition, fitness, and other healthy habits are integral parts of the Doodle Bugs! program. It starts with the high-quality, nutritious meals served at breakfast and lunch, which are filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, and deliciousness.

Because eating well is a key to good health, it’s important to introduce children to healthy options and choices at an early age. Not only are these concepts discussed during daily mealtimes at our center, it’s reinforced in a fun way during our summer camp program during the theme week: Taste of Doodleville. During this week, campers get to participate in harvesting vegetables from the center garden and using them to prepare basic recipes. Gardening, taste tests, and other nutrition-related activities continue throughout the school year, too.Photo22_215

With hectic schedules and busy lives, we want to provide resources that assist parents in extending those healthy habits at home. We have created Doodle Bugs! recipe cards to offer new food creations into your household and outline ways your children can help prepare them.

Each family is provided with four recipe cards that offer dinner, dessert, or side options with authentic recipes from our friends at Fruit Fresh Up and Gourmet Meals To Go. You can also download them here!
