Employee of the Year: Christine Duquin
Coming back from a warm, sunny vacation is never easy – especially when it’s your honeymoon! But, when you come back to a center full of happy children and happy teachers celebrating YOU – things get a little better.
Last weekend, Doodle Bugs! Children’s Learning Academy hosted their eighth annual teacher conference. If you missed our post about the event – you can check it out here. Each year, at the conference, we announce the winner of our most prestigious award, Employee of the Year. We are thrilled to celebrate Christine Duquin, Program Coordinator at our East Amherst location as our 2018 Employee of the Year!
The only problem was, Christine was on her honeymoon in MEXICO! But, that didn’t stop us – we were able to surprise her and make the announcement as we FaceTimed with her – such a fun moment!
This year’s nominees were selected as a result of a new Employee of the Year nomination process. Team members at all locations were encouraged to fill out a nomination form to recognize a fellow employee for their exemplary contribution to Living the Doodle Bugs! Way over the past year. We received so many nominations and loved reading all of the thoughtful recognitions of hard work, dedication, passion, and positivity for so many amazing individuals.
Since Christine has been on the Doodle Bugs! team, she has grown from a Lead Teacher to Director Assistant and to her current role, Program Coordinator. Through every interaction with Christine, it is evident that she truly wants what is best for each child and the center as a whole. Christine continues to cultivate meaningful relationships with the families and children in her center and spreads her enthusiastic and positive attitude center-wide.
Christine’s co-workers gravitate toward her happy, compassionate and calm demeanor – finding her easy to talk to. She is that teammate that everyone goes to for advice, answers to questions and encouragement. She is such a hard worker and always sees everything to completion. Christine’s impressive work ethic and dedication to Doodle Bugs! makes her such a great teammate!
Christine is a vital part of the success at our East Amherst center. In her Program Coordinator role, she circulates through every classroom and providing support, guidance, encouragement, expertise and happiness!
Christine was welcomed back to the center this week with a whole lot of love – complete with signs, parades and a yummy lunch! Way to go Christine – we couldn’t be happier to tell the Doodleverse how amazing you are!
