Doodle Bugs! Friday Five

The holiday season is a magical time of year at Doodle Bugs!. This week has been a fabulous celebration of families, friends and fun.

We extend special thanks to the family members who are sharing the gift of time with us throughout this month — when you stop in to read a Hanukkah story, sing a Christmas carol, or share a favorite recipe, children begin to understand that family traditions are the heart of holiday celebrations.

We’re happy to share 5 great photos from this week’s festivities – enjoy!

  1. The Cheektowaga center hosted their annual Holiday Extravaganza …
  2. …and the Orchard Park center did too! Families at both centers enjoyed sharing holiday stories, snacks, songs and special learning centers activities.
  3. As part of our Holidays Around the World unit, children were introduced to the legend of the poinsettia and learned more about traditional celebrations in Mexico.
  4. Traditional and creative sombreros were a great addition to our dramatic play!
  5. Our annual Posada Party was the perfect way to wrap up our study; pinatas and limbo contests added to the fun!

Have a great weekend!
