Dad Rocks! Father’s Day Gift

We all know that Dad’s rock, right?
Well, here is a fun way to let them know – give them a hand-made paper weight for Father’s Day!

You will need: 1/4 cup salt, 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup water, a bowl, a cookie sheet, pea gravel or small pebbles.

Directions:

  • Create a batch of salt dough with the children by combining salt, flour and water. You can add colors to the dough with food coloring.
  • Divide the dough between the children.
  • Roll a batch into a ball and flatten it out using your hands or rolling pin.
  • The children can press rocks and pebbles in the dough to make a design, or spell out the words “Dad Rocks!”
  • Bake the paperweights until completely dry. You can also let them sit for several days until hardened.

Don’t forget about your Father’s Day Celebrations on June 14th and 15th! Create cards, invitation and gifts for your visitors, as well as planned activities and snacks for this special holiday.

Have a very doodle day!
