Victor Doodle Bugs! Celebrating December Holiday Traditions
Victor kicked off a month of holiday traditions by celebrating Saint Nicholas Day on December 6th. The children put a shoe outside the room during nap time and received special treats from a surprise visitor. The tradition was always a favorite of the owners, Herb and Karen. This family tradition began when they lived in Germany and their son was born. St. Nicholas Day was a widely celebrated holiday there and the boys and girls always put their shoes outside on the evening of December 5th.
Our St. Nicholas celebration is only the beginning of what December has in store for our center. Upcoming events include a Sing-Along, Kwanzaa Parade, Hanukkah celebration and New Year’s Eve Party. Families are invited to come in and share their traditions with the children.
