Early Childhood Teachers Donate to the Ronald McDonald House
On January 29th, early childhood teachers and faculty members from our Victor, NY location spent the morning preparing and serving breakfast to 24 families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, NY.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester provides a supportive “home-away-from-home” for families of children receiving healthcare in the Rochester community and support related efforts that improve the health and wellbeing of children.
In addition to serving breakfast, the team also purchased many items from the house’s wish list with money the center collected on $1 Blue Jean Fridays– an initiative that gathers donations from faculty members who, in exchange, can wear jeans to work.
“We couldn’t think of any better way to spend the money we collected as we are both organizations committed to the health and wellbeing of children!” said Karen Ego, Center Director in Victor.
This month, faculty members will wear red and white striped socks on February 17 to raise awareness for the Ronald McDonald House. We invite families to do the same! Thank you, Victor team, for your compassion.
