Meet Our July Employees of the Month
This month we are so proud to recognize the five Directors from Doodle Bugs! centers that have remained open throughout COVID-19.
Angela Frost (Clarence), Marissa Lee (Lakewood Ranch), Jessica Mazzo (Henrietta), Meagan Silverberg (Cheektowaga), and Liz Vandetti (Webster), led their centers through some of the most trying weeks we have ever seen. Their unwavering leadership, dedication, sacrifice and happiness continues to provide a safe place for children to receive care while their parents serve on the front lines as medical professionals, grocers, postal service workers, police and more.
We’re honored to introduce you to each of them:
Angela Frost is the Center Director of our Clarence, NY location. Angela has always impressed us with her devotion to Doodle Bugs! – she started in the classroom as a Teacher Assistant several years ago and has gradually moved her way up to her current role as Center Director. We love the way Miss Angela celebrates successes for both her faculty and the children in her care and her transparency in communication continues to provide peace of mind for those at her center even through some very uncertain times.
Marissa Lee is the Center Director in Lakewood Ranch, FL. Prior to opening our Lakewood Ranch location she held leadership roles for many years with Doodle Bugs! centers in Rochester, NY. Her contagious positivity, strong leadership and high energy always exceeds our expectations. Over the last few months, Miss Marissa has continued to exceed our unique COVID-19 expectations for cleanliness – even before new policies and procedures were put into place.
Jessica Mazzo is the Center Director at our Henrietta, NY location. We have always admired Jessica’s positive, can-do attitude and over the last few, very trying, months her contagious positivity has not wavered. In response to the current public health crisis, our centers have had to quickly implement many new health and safety procedures. Miss Jessica did this with her signature enthusiasm and we could not be more grateful. Her steadiness has continued to cultivate a safe and happy place for families and staff.
Meagan Silverberg is the Director at our Cheektowaga, NY location. Miss Meagan has strong relationships with her faculty who view her as their loyal leader. She creates an environment that encourages open communication and allows her to best meet the needs of the children, parents and staff. During a time of utmost uncertainty the relationships she’s fostered with and amongst her team have been crucial in continuing to operate a safe and welcoming center.
Liz Vandetti is the Center Director at our Webster, NY location. Over the last few months, Liz’s confident and steady leadership has successfully guided not only her own center but the reopening of other Doodle Bugs! centers. We’ve always admired the way her kind and welcoming personality makes those in her presence feel comfortable– and now, more than ever, during a global pandemic.
We are so grateful for the hard work of these individuals and their commitment to our communities makes us so very proud.
