Doodle Bugs! Demonstrates Generosity with Annual Food Drive

All eleven of our corporate Doodle Bugs! Children’s Centers locations are participating in a food drive to benefit our local food banks for the holiday season.

Buffalo, NY Centers – Food Bank of Western New York
Rochester, NY Centers – FoodLink
McCandless, PA – Angel’s Place
Lake Worth, FL – Palm Beach County Food Bank  

We are in the last week of our drive and hoping that it will be our most successful one yet. Centers began collecting on November 2 and will conclude the drive this Friday (11/20) so our food banks can distribute our donation in time for Thanksgiving.

Prior to the drive, each classroom decorated turkey boxes which were placed outside each classroom and served as collection points. So cute!

“Our November curriculum focuses around the topics of thankfulness, generosity and appreciation. Hosting a food drive is the perfect opportunity to introduce children to the joy of giving,” said Christina Fecio, Director of Education. “It’s so inspiring to watch young children get excited about contributing items that will help local families enjoy a holiday meal”.

As the drive comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank all our families for their tremendous support of this initiative! And, there’s a few days left—let’s fill those turkey boxes!
