Dinosaurs Galore!

Our 2-Week long Dinosaur Theme is approaching fast – are you ready to rock ‘n ‘roar?

Here are some great websites you can visit with the children to learn about dinosaurs:

Did you know you can make your own fossils out of salt dough? Try this in your classroom!

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • 1 -1/2 cups hot water (tap water)
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil (optional)

Instructions:

  • Combine the salt and flour in a mixing bowl
  • Gradually add the water until the dough becomes elastic
  • Add the vegetable oil

(If your dough is too sticky, add more flour. If your dough is too crumbly, add more water.)

  • Once your dough has reached the desired consistency, set out objects to make your fossil prints!
  • Let the finished product air dry (or bake at 200 degrees F). Paint them white and you have yourself a fossil!

See you at the Dinosaur Stomp Parade on February 23rd at 10am!
