Meet Dontae Chimera: November Employee of the Month

We are so happy to recognize Dontae Chimera as our November Employee of the Month! Since the beginning of September, Dontae has consistently traveled to other Doodle Bugs! locations throughout Buffalo to help support our teams when additional staffing is needed. His willingness to step in wherever he is needed makes a difference for our teachers, children, and families.

As he works in different classrooms and centers, Dontae takes the time to build positive relationships. He supports classroom routines, assists lead teachers, and helps implement our BRAVO! Curriculum. His reliability, positive attitude, and willingness to lend a hand make him a welcome addition to every classroom he enters.

Dontae’s gentle and welcoming nature has also made a lasting impression on families. Morning drop-offs can sometimes be difficult for young children, and his patience and kindness help make those moments a little easier. One parent shared:

“Mr. Dontae’s gentle nature creates a soothing space for tough drop-offs. His patience and love help our toddler feel safe and happy every day. We’re so grateful for his dedication & demeanor.”

After first joining Doodle Bugs! as a Tae Kwon Do instructor a few years ago, Dontae has continued to grow in his role in early childhood education. His flexibility, dependability, and willingness to support other centers show how much he cares about the people he works with and the children in his care.
