Meet Brittney Bartlett: June Employee of the Month
It’s Friday… it’s June… and it’s National Donut Day. That’s like a trifecta of happy. Speaking of happy, there’s someone you need to meet. Miss Brittney Bartlett is a Lead Pre-K Teacher at our West Amherst, NY location and she is happiness personified.
After taking one step into Miss Brittney’s classroom, it’s evident that she is passionate about being the best teacher for her students. Brittney is known for spending countless hours creating new “adventures” in her room which makes her children excited to come to Doodle Bugs! everyday. Recently, she turned one corner of her classroom into a huge castle for our BRAVO! Curriculum’s Fairy Tale Week . The magic she created was impressive and inspiring for children, parents, and fellow teachers.
We admire how Brittney, energetically, takes on new learning and development opportunities – even when they require her to stretch out of her comfort zone. During her time with Doodle Bugs!, she has become a Mentor, presented a workshop for peers at our Annual Conference two years in a row and facilitated faculty meetings at her center and others.
This year, Miss Brittney and her classroom fostered an intergenerational relations project with a local senior living facility, Brookdale Niagara. This project has been a joy to witness – the bond formed over the past year between children and seniors is heartwarming and powerful.
Fellow teachers say that Brittney is an inspiration — helping them to continue to pursue their best self. Way to go, Miss Brittney – we think you’re amazing.
