I AM A NURTURER!

Teachers actively curate this environment by engaging with others genuinely and personally. They take time to get to know the children in their care, understanding what makes each child unique. They are responsive to each child’s needs, providing individualized support and guidance while validating the child’s experience.

I AM A GOOD COMMUNICATOR!

Teachers listen and share to build authentic relationships with children, parents and fellow teachers. They communicate through their words as well as their interactions. They engage parents in thoughtful and personal conversation. With fellow teachers, they keep a friendly and open line of communication, sharing experiences and celebrating successes.

I AM ACTIVE AT WORK!

Teachers are encouraged to be creative, nurturing, messy, healthy, curious, active, flexible and patient - because happy children love to learn! Children thrive when teachers actively supervise and support their development, encouraging safety, learning, and fun.

I HELP SOLVE PROBLEMS!

Teachers model resilience so that children develop into problem solvers who view every challenge as an opportunity to learn. Children develop skills in cooperation and social competency that is key to academic success.

I GET TO BE CREATIVE!

Teachers approach each day with a playful attitude. They engage with children on their level, getting messy and playing pretend. They model happiness and curiosity, showing children the value of approaching the world with a healthy sense of possibility. They interact with their peers playfully and personally, encouraging openness, involvement and creativity.

I USE MY IMAGINATION!

Teachers use humor and imagination to engage with children on a personal level, applying observations of children's interests and abilities to make learning fun. Teachers adapt Bravo! curriculum lesson plans to embrace imagination!

I GET MESSY!

Teachers get messy and actively engage in play to build strong relationships with children and positively influence their social-emotional development. Messy play is about more than making a mess. Interaction with environments enhances cognitive development.
