Featured Family of the Month – August 2013

We are proud to announce the Hill family from our Penfield, NY center as the August Family of the Month!

We are so thankful to have the Hill family enrolled with us. Originally a transfer from our Orchard Park location, they joined us with their first child Lauren when she was just a toddler. Since then, their two other daughters Kristen and Abby have been enrolled in our program –  and they now have another child on the way (the first boy!). We are very excited to meet him!

The Hill family is consistently involved at every community event and their daughters are our best advocates and cheerleaders. Spreading the word to all of their friends, they always want every child in the class to attend all of the fun events we put on.

Justin (Dad) has also volunteered his time the past couple of years to be our Santa Claus during Christmas! He has touched the lives of many of our children here while helping to spread Christmas cheer.

They are an absolute joy to have at our center. Thank you, Hill family, for being a part of our Doodle family!

Kindness, community, generosity of both time and spirit – these are the heart of our program’s success. To celebrate the fact that the doodle community is made up of passionate individuals who truly care, we used our 20^th year (2012) as a unique opportunity to ‘pay it forward’ in the communities we serve.

The shared sense of joy and accomplishment that arose from the initiative inspired us to repeat it! In December 2012, we wrapped up our 20^th year with twenty additional acts of kindness – Mr. Doodle Bug was spotted at nursing homes, children’s hospitals, city missions, public libraries and other local organizations.

This was the perfect way to celebrate our growing community of happy children, happy parents, and happy teachers. And now, as we embark on our 21^st year, we are proud to celebrate by recognizing the individuals that make this all possible … and that is our incredible families.

Beginning in February 2013 and continuing until January 2014 we will be featuring one outstanding family each month. This family will be showcased on our website, social media pages, and receive a $25 Bill Gray’s gift certificate, a Doodle Bugs! gift basket and one week of free tuition for one child’s tuition maximum.
