Doodle Bugs! Team Tuesday: Issue 266
We have been very busy in our training center this summer– which we like to refer to as Doodle U! Last week, some of our new and recently promoted managers gathered for a full day of professional development.
In the morning, participants were welcomed with a #PinterestWorthy welcome gift.
Staying true to our play-based learning methodology, we jumped right in to some fun, interactive exercises.
During the seminar, our Customer Relations team facilitated a totally interactive Effective Communication session where managers participated in various activities that demonstrated these principles first hand.
Doodle Bugs! Behavior Specialist Lindsay Leusch, also shared her expertise with the group. The intention of her Behavior Matrix training was to marry mangers’ understanding of Positive Behavior Support (PBS) practices and their expectations within the classroom, for both children and teachers. The history leading up to the development of the matrix was shared with managers, as well as the final product, which will be launched company-wide in the coming weeks. There was thoughtful discussion with managers on how to train, support, and extend teachers’ understanding of these behavioral expectations, providing greater insight on the positive and consistent application these rules moving forward.
We are excited for our new managers and are thrilled to have had the opportunity to build upon their expertise and give them the tools they need to help their centers reach their highest potential. Can we give them all a big, virtual high-five?
