Doodle Bugs! Team Tuesday: Issue 247

For this week’s Team Tuesday, we’re pleased to feature several team members from various Doodle Bugs! centers. The teachers highlighted today have been recognized by their peers over the past week for their efforts to perform as one team—a key element in “living the Doodle Bugs! way”

At Doodle Bugs!, we strive to perform as one team by proactively offering to help others, speaking positively, communicating in an open, honest, and respectful manner and listening attentively to the ideas and opinions of others. Here are a few examples from the past week:

At our East Amherst, NY center, Phu Nguyen was recognized by Nicole James
Amazing teacher assistant! Mr. Phu is our wonderful teacher assistant for our school age kiddos! All the kiddos love Mr. Phu’s fun personality. Mr. Phu is always ready to greet the kiddos at the door, and ask them how their day went at school. Mr. Phu also helps out tremendously at the end of the day, when we are trying to send teachers home for the night. He will go into any classroom he is asked to and get right in playing with the kiddos. Mr. Phu I thank you for everything you do at night, and making sure these kiddos are having fun until their parents pick them up!!

From the West Amherst, NY center, Bethany Hubbard was recognized by Sara Zacher
Communication is key! I just want to give a huge shout out to Bethany. She makes the transition from the classroom to the front desk as seamless as possible and always communicates things that are happening around the center to me before she leaves. Sometimes the transition is tricky but with the open communication and her notes in the communication log, I have no problem figuring out what is needed for the night. I can feel confident when I am coming up to the desk all will be in order. Thank you Bethany for making this transition as easy as possible!

From the Lancaster, NY center, Rachel Rohauer was recognized by Caroline Berrios
A Positive Can Do attitude! Rachel is a skilled opener but when both managers were unexpectedly out of the center, Rachel stepped up and ran the center flawlessly in their absence. She encountered challenges but overcame each one demonstrating her skill and positive “can do” attitude. Kudos to Rachel and the faculty at Lancaster for demonstrating tremendous teamwork last Monday!

From our Lake Worth, Florida location, Natalia Mayorga was recognized by Jessika Buzzelli
Thanks For Being You!I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to work alongside Natalia everyday. She is such a joy to be around, always finding the positive in every situation and never without a smile! The children definitely pick up on her positive energy and clearly feel very comfortable and safe around her. Thank you, Natalia, for always being such an encouragement to our little friends and to those of us who are lucky enough to work with you.

Thank you to Phu, Bethany, Rachel and Natalia  for these examples of the many ways that our faculty members work as one team. We also extend our appreciation to Nicole, Sara, Caroline and Jessika for taking the time to spot and celebrate these examples of team members demonstrating “the Doodle Bugs! way” — together, we’re building an amazing community of happy children, happy parents, and happy teachers!
