Doodle Bugs! Team Tuesday: Issue #17
“Three things in human life are important.
The first is to be kind.
The second is to be kind.
The third is to be kind.” — Henry James
When a teacher’s primary focus is building relationships with her students, she creates the ideal environment for learning. Her kindness — in the form of thoughtful words, a gentle manner, and genuine affection — encourages children to feel ‘at home’ in the classroom. In turn, their comfort encourages them to explore and create.
It is always a pleasure to recognize a team member for her kindness — and for the far-reaching effects she has on the classroom community.
Team Tuesday: Devin Burns (Penfield Center)
- “I wanted to express how happy I am with Miss Devin…I have always seen her happy and calm, optimistic, warm and loving…”
- “…she really has taken the time to build a solid relationship with Gabby based on trust, warmth, and security… I can tell she really loves the children and values them as people.”
— Ariane B.-H., parent of Gabby
Thank you, Devin, for the many ways that you demonstrate that you CARE; the doodle community is a better place because of you!
