Doodle Bugs! Standard of the Week: 11/12/12

A doodle day really is more fun, for children and teachers alike, when teachers get involved in every aspect of our program and set an enthusiastic example!

When parents peek in on Watch Me Grow and see teachers moving and grooving during Doodle Dance or all decked out for a parade, they can’t help but smile. Similarly, when you walk into a classroom and see teachers down at the children’s level, actively involved in the blocks center, dramatic play, or in small groups – you know they ‘doodle do!’ Put simply, teachers’ active engagement in our program is an essential doodle difference.

We believe that leadership looks ‘different’ depending on a person’s personality traits and that there are countless opportunities for ‘every day leadership.’ This SOTW speaks directly to that idea – leadership always begins with meaningful engagement.

The SOTW will be posted for parents to see, in the faculty lounge, and placed in each classroom’s mailslot.
