Doodle Bugs! Standard of the Week: 09/24/12
This week’s SOTW reminds teachers that short, positive directions work better than “No…Don’t…Stop.”
Positive directions teach children to think about what you expect from them. Positive directions plant the idea “do the right thing.” In other words, “Please walk” is always more appropriate (and usually more effective!) than “No running.”
The SOTW will be posted for parents to see, in the faculty lounge, and placed in each classroom’s mailslot.
