Doodle Bugs! Standard of the Week: 04/16/12

This week’s SOTW reminds us that a doodle day really is more fun, for children and teachers alike, when teachers get involved in children’s play!

Playing *with* children (rather than just supervising), is the perfect opportunity to extend learning by asking questions, promoting conversations and taking advantage of teachable moments. Plus, when parents peek in on Watch Me Grow and see teachers running on the playground or getting messy in the sensory bins – they can’t help but smile.

Put simply, teachers’ active participation in our program is an essential doodle difference!

The SOTW will be posted for parents to see, in the faculty lounge and placed in each classroom’s mailslot. As always, thank you for your attention to these important doodle details!
