Doodle Bugs! Friday Five

“We will open the book. Its pages are blank.
We are going to put words on them ourselves.
The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day”.
– Edith Lovejoy Pierce

Happy Friday — and Happy New Year! We’re so thankful for the opportunity to help your children learn and grow and are looking forward to an amazing 2011.

It’s been another terrific week at Doodle Bugs!. We wrapped up our study of ‘Holidays Around the World’ with a celebration of Kwanzaa (complete with a Kwanzaa March!) and a traditional New Year’s Eve celebration to welcome 2011:

  1. Kwanzaa candles (Orchard Park)
  2. Kwanzaa March (West Amherst)
  3. Kwanzaa March (Lancaster)
  4. Outdoor Fun (Clarence)
  5. Happy New Year! (Webster)
