Doodle Bugs! Friday Five
The Doodle Community is buzzing with news & events. Here’s what has been going on and what we have coming up:
1) In honor of National “Be Humble Day,” our West Amherst center celebrated by making cheerful & uplifting cards for the residents at Beechwood Continuing Care, and they also passed out “Bee Humble” cards to children, staff and parents!
2) We will be in Pittsburgh this weekend for the annual Kid-A-Palooza event at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Doodle Bugs! is proud to be the “Cartoon Camp” Sponsor and will have an arts & crafts table, offer the opportunity for Pittsburgh families to meet our Director & obtain more information on our program, and host an appearance from Mr. Doodle Bug himself! Click here for more information.
3) Faculty members from our Orchard Park location will be at the Chinese New Year Lantern Festival at the Bryant & Stratton College Southtowns campus. They will be hosting the New Year Story Reading Time from 1:00-200PM. For more information please click here.
4) In celebration of Read Across America, our Cheektowaga location will be hosting a “Read-In” day, in which a celebrity guest reader will visit the center to read to the children on Friday, March 1st.
5) In a box, with a fox, in a car, near or far – everyone loves Dr. Seuss! We’re celebrating the wonderful works of Dr. Seuss this month and will kick off the festivities with a Birthday parade on Monday, March 4th at 10:00AM.
