Doodle Bugs! Friday Five

The Doodle Community is buzzing with news & events. Here’s what has been going on and what we have coming up:

1) Happy New Year! In celebration of this traditional Chinese holiday (which begins February 10th and is typically celebrated for fifteen days!) we’re proud to announce our annual parade on February 11th. To honor 2013 as the Year of the Snake, we’ll parade through the center with our lanterns, led by a unique hand-made float. Of course, we’ll also spend time learning about the origins of this unique celebration.

2) Love is in the air! In celebration of the Holiday, the children will create special crafts, play games, and enjoy lots of yummy treats. You are invited to share store-bought snacks and to send in Valentine cards for a classroom exchange – you’re also invited to join in the fun!Screen-Shot-2012-02-16-at-9.09.45-PM

3) Attention Faculty: Join our Doodle Bugs! Faculty Page and then enter to win Buffalo Sabres tickets (and other awesome prizes)! Ask your Center Director for details on how to join.

4) School-agers (including UPK students) are invited to attend Doodle Bugs! on district holidays. Our “Vacation Club” provides a safe, supervised environment with plenty of fun and educational activities. Please let us know if your school-ager will need care during your school’s Mid-Winter Break (February 18th-22nd).

5) To continue to “Pay It Forward” in our communities, our Webster, Penfield and Clarence Center will be celebrating National Random Act of Kindness Day on Tuesday, February 19th. Please click here for more information.
