Our History
How did it all begin? The Doodle Bugs! program debuted in 1992, when Anna and Clarine Insinna (both teachers) partnered with their brother, Anthony Insinna (a business school student), to open a small child care center in East Amherst, New York. The first Doodle Bugs! site was truly a product of the Insinna family’s creativity, innovation, and commitment to quality; Anna, Clarine, and Anthony worked hard to design and implement a program that would uniquely meet children’s needs to learn and play in a safe, fun environment.
Word quickly spread that this family-owned business was dedicated to providing high-quality child care and preschool programs, and Doodle Bugs! became an overwhelming success. Today Doodle Bugs! operates beautiful, state-of-the-art centers in both the Buffalo and Rochester areas.
Alongside their professional management team, the Insinna family takes a hands-on role in center operations, always working to continuously improve the Doodle Bugs! program. They plan to grow the company by opening several new centers over the next year, with the commitment that each new center maintains the same quality and excellence of the first Doodle Bugs!.
