Monthly Center Events
We are pleased to offer each of the following events at every Doodle Bugs! location. Additional details are available from the center director, or from your child’s teacher.
Hey, It’s Franklin! Wednesday, April 9th
Join us for a slow motion parade (beginning at 10:00AM) featuring everyone’s favorite turtle, Franklin! We’ll also enjoy turtle games and Franklin stories
Week of the Young Child: April 14 -18
We’re proud to participate in the Week of the Young Child, a national initiative designed to focus attention on the needs of young children and their families, and to recognize the programs that meet those needs.
We’ve planned something fun to celebrate each day this week:
- Monday is Costume Day - Wear your Halloween costume today!
- Tuesday is Backwards Day - Wear your clothes backwards and enjoy your day in reverse!
- Wednesday is Community Helper Day - We’ll enjoy special visits from our local community helpers.
- Thursday is Silly Hat Day - Wear your silliest hat today!
- Friday is Share a Book Day - Parents are guest storytellers today, as we display our homemade books!
Community Connections, 14 - 18
Throughout the week, the children will become authors, illustrators, artists, and inventors—creating books, games, and works of art for the patients of Children’s Hospital. This celebration of children, for children, by children, truly captures the intended spirit of the Week of the Young Child.
