Bravo! Early Childhood Curriculum
 At Doodle Bugs! we recognize that children learn best when they take an active role in the learning process. We therefore implement the Bravo! Early Childhood Program, an array of activities that support social, emotional, physical and cognitive development, encouraging children to explore, experiment and create. Specifically, the Bravo! program includes:
- Innovative Curriculum: Our professionally designed curriculum provides our staff with daily theme-related, age-appropriate lesson plans for their classrooms; learning experiences are centered on literacy, art, music and movement, science, math, and dramatic play.
- Doodle Bugs! Exclusive Enrichment Programs: Our groundbreaking enrichment programs – which debuted in September 2001, after two full years of research and planning – include Computer Instruction, Doodle Dance & Fitness, Tae Kwon Do, and Happy Hour. Our teachers also integrate basic Spanish vocabulary into daily routines, including Circle Time and small group activities.
- Doodle Bugs! Exclusive Center Events: Understanding that having fun and celebrating the “little things” is an essential part of early childhood, Doodle Bugs! plans several exciting Center Events each month. From talent shows and sing-a-longs, to costume parades and celebrations of National Smile Day, the entire Doodle Bugs! family (staff, children, and parents!) participates in these fun-filled events. All events are detailed in the bi-monthly newsletter and on the classroom parents’ boards.
 In addition to encouraging children's creativity and independence, Doodle Bugs! helps children learn to become avid readers, to speak and write well, to follow directions, to understand early math concepts, and to cooperate in groups. Just ask the teachers at your local elementary school – they will likely tell you that Doodle Bugs! preschool graduates are the best prepared for kindergarten.
The Bravo! program is directed by our full time Director of Education, Anna Insinna. Anna devotes her entire work week to researching teaching strategies, developing in-service staff training sessions, and working with the teachers to effectively implement the curriculum.
